BayCare's staffing resource office is currently in search of experienced ER nurses who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.
Positions details- Part-Time Core Float Pool ER requires floating between a region of hospitals based on census needs. Minimum commitment is 2x12 hour shifts per week to include every 3rd Saturday & Sunday, and 2 Fridays in 6-week schedule. Holiday commitment includes summer and winter holiday, and hard to fill staffing day.
  • Location: Region 3 includes Bartow Regional Medical Center, South Florida Baptist and Winter Haven Hospitals.
  • Status: Full Time-Non-Exempt
  • Shift: 10:45AM - 11:15PM
  • Every 3rd Saturday and Sunday, in addition two Fridays in 6-week schedule. Holiday bundle requirement
  • On Call: No
  • Always in person
  • Float Pay differential

The Registered Nurse - ER responsibilities and skills:
  • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
  • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • Care for patients throughout their recovery in critical care.
  • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
  • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
  • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
  • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.
  • Professional accountability and development

Requirements:
  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
  • 2-year experience of ER in a hospital setting
  • Strongly prefers 4-years ER RN experience
  • BLS certification American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification with the American Heart Association
