Job description

Description:

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Part-Time Site Director who is ready to step into a leadership role, make a daily impact on childrenโ€™s lives, and enjoy a flexible schedule with a rare benefit of employer-paid childcare.

LOCATION: Parkview Preschool in Collingswood, NJ

PAY: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

SCHEDULE: SPLIT SHIFT

Morning Program hours vary between 7:00 - 9:00 am

Afternoon Program hours vary between 2:45 - 5:45 pm

Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for children (ages 3โ€“12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.

Why This Role Stands Out

This position offers more than a typical part-time job in childcare. You will step into a leadership role where your work directly shapes a positive, structured, and engaging environment for children before and after school.

One of the most unique parts of this opportunity is employer-paid childcare for your own children enrolled in the program, helping you significantly reduce childcare costs while staying closely connected during the workday. You will also benefit from a flexible split schedule that can support school, family responsibilities, or additional commitments.

Additional benefits include telehealth, vision, and dental coverage, AFLAC supplemental plans, a 401(k) for eligible employees, paid sick time, on-demand pay, and opportunities for professional growth and advancement within Healthy Kids Programs.

A Day in the Life

Your day begins by helping create a welcoming and positive environment as students arrive for the morning program. You may lead a quick activity, connect with families, and support smooth program flow before transitioning into your mid-day break.

In the afternoon, you return to guide engaging activities such as arts and crafts, STEAM projects, fitness games, and homework support. You will work closely with your team to ensure a safe, organized, and fun environment while maintaining strong communication with families and staff. Each day brings variety, energy, and meaningful interaction with children and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Compliance: Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
  • Program Leadership: Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
  • Program Management: Oversee daily operations including attendance tracking, registration updates, scheduling, and staffing support.
  • Family Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your direct supervisor and team to share updates, solve problems proactively, and maintain a positive and supportive program culture.
Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of New Jersey State Child Care licensing regulations preferred; ability to quickly learn and apply requirements.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience working with children ages 5โ€“12.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a childcare, education, or youth-serving organization.
  • Experience supervising staff, managing performance, and supporting consistent program operations.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills in a service-oriented environment.
  • Experience using registration, enrollment, and attendance management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Excellent customer service and parent engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain strong teams.
  • Understanding of staffing models, payroll management, and operational expenses.
  • Must meet all NJ DCF health requirements and be able to perform essential job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks.
  • Requires the ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues, along with a consistent record of reliability and punctuality.

PART-TIME BENEFITS:

  • Employer-paid childcare for children (ages 3โ€“12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you are working with us
  • Telehealth, vision, and dental coverage
  • AFLAC supplemental plans
  • 401(k) for eligible employees
  • Paid sick time
  • On-demand pay
  • Career development and growth opportunities
