New Jersey's academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. Aligned with Rutgers University-New Brunswick and collaborating university wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research.

Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant (Tutor) for the Office of Education at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
This job is to have students tutor and provide instructional materials to their peers.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Provide part time instruction to medical students in need of tutoring.
  • Prepare materials for 1:1 tutoring sessions as needed.
  • Participate in training sessions as needed and/or required.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Be a second through fourth year or dual degree RWJMS medical student or alum of RWJMS.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Recommend previous teaching and or tutoring experience.
