Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking Student Assistants to work in the Dean's Office Administration, Office of Technology Integration.
The Student Assistants will provide technology set-up and support to faculty in SHP classrooms and conference rooms.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Responsible for managing technology set-up in assigned classrooms.
  • Prior to session - set-up and customize technology settings to meet instructional needs of faculty/presenter.
  • During session - Trouble-shoot during session connecting with SHP Technology staff, as needed.
  • End of session - Return technology set-up to initial settings.
  • Partner with SHP Technology Services staff to get training, report and resolve issues, and ensure all classroom technology is consistently operational.
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Must be a SHP Rutgers student pursuing a degree in a School of Health Profession discipline.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • The candidate should have familiarity with technology and/or audiovisual equipment.
  • The candidate should also be comfortable with and have an aptitude for working with tech equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with setting up and troubleshooting computers and audiovisual equipment is preferred.
