As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Rover in Huntsville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic cultural institution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to guests and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with staff, guests, and local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
  • Support opening and closing routines, assist with crowd and line management during exhibitions and events, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
