What is a part time 1099 recruiter?

A Part Time 1099 Recruiter is a recruitment professional who works on a part-time basis as an independent contractor, rather than as a traditional employee. The term '1099' refers to the IRS form used for reporting income earned by independent contractors in the United States. These recruiters typically work with multiple clients or companies to find, screen, and recommend candidates for job openings, and are paid per assignment or project. As independent contractors, they are responsible for their own taxes and may have the flexibility to set their own hours and workload.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time 1099 recruiter?

To thrive as a Part Time 1099 Recruiter, you need strong sourcing, interviewing, and candidate evaluation skills, typically backed by experience in recruiting or human resources. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and CRM tools is essential for managing candidate pipelines efficiently. Excellent communication, time management, and relationship-building are critical soft skills for engaging both clients and candidates while working independently. These abilities help ensure successful talent placements and client satisfaction in a flexible, self-driven recruiting environment.

Job description

Description:

Join the Mindfully Team – Where Compassion Meets Purpose

At Mindfully, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. As a minority woman-owned company, we are dedicated to creating a supportive environment where every team member feels valued, respected, and empowered.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make high-quality mental health care accessible, affordable, and personalized for every individual we serve. We match clients with providers who specialize in their unique needs, ensuring better outcomes for clients and deeper professional satisfaction for our clinicians.

As a mental health professional, you chose this path to make a difference, not to spend your time juggling billing, insurance contracts, credentialing, and administrative work. That’s where we come in. At Mindfully, we handle the business side of things so you can focus on what matters most—your clients.

Why Work With Mindfully?

When you join our team, you gain the freedom of private practice with the support of a strong, collaborative community. Our goal is to help you grow, thrive, and maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing exceptional care to your clients.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Competitive Compensation – Attractive rates for part-time 1099 contractors ($35–$47/hour, based on license and caseload).
  • Full Administrative Support – We take care of scheduling, billing, insurance, and other behind-the-scenes work.
  • Training & Growth Opportunities – Access to our Mindfully Academy, with paid CEUs and specialized trainings such as DBT, EMDR, trauma, eating disorders, couples counseling, and more.
  • Flexible Schedules – Design a schedule that fits your lifestyle and client needs.
  • Client Matching Technology – Build a caseload aligned with your passions and expertise.
  • Peer Support & Collaboration – Participate in regular peer-to-peer consultations and small pods for connection and professional growth.
  • Wellness Perks – HealthiestYou by Teladoc, Crunch Fitness discounts, and voluntary pet insurance.
  • Autonomy in Practice – Choose the insurance panels you want to work with.
  • Stipends & Incentives – Tenure stipends for maintaining a full caseload, plus monthly stipends for supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • Current, valid license to practice as a clinician in the state of Ohio.
  • Ability to work in-office at our Kenwood, OH location.
  • Comfortable with a part-time 1099 contractor role.
Compensation:
  • Hourly Pay: $35–$47/hour (based on license type and caseload).
  • Additional Stipends:
    • Tenure stipend for full caseload maintenance.
    • Monthly supervisor stipend (for eligible clinicians).
