We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist! The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract, assess, and hire qualified candidates for an inpatient psychiatric hospital. This position partners closely with leadership to ensure staffing needs are met for clinical, non-clinical, and support service roles while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a brand ambassador for the hospital and plays a key role in building a high-performing workforce committed to providing exceptional behavioral health care. **This position is onsite in Tulsa, OK!**

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Sourcing

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from requisition approval through onboarding.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates for nursing, behavioral health, therapy, medical, administrative, and support positions.
  • Post and maintain job advertisements across job boards, social media platforms, healthcare-specific recruitment sites, and other sourcing channels.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill and critical positions.
  • Attend job fairs, college career events, community outreach programs, and professional networking events to promote employment opportunities.

Candidate Screening & Selection

  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and clinical leadership.
  • Facilitate candidate assessments, reference checks, background screenings, and credential verification processes.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Healthcare Recruitment Compliance

  • Verify professional licenses, certifications, education, and employment history for clinical positions.
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and applicant tracking system (ATS) records.
  • Support accreditation and regulatory requirements related to personnel records and hiring practices.

Partnership & Workforce Planning

  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand staffing needs, vacancy trends, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate quality, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Provide recommendations to improve recruitment efficiency and workforce stability.
  • Support retention initiatives through candidate engagement and onboarding best practices.

Employer Branding & Onboarding

  • Promote the hospital's mission, values, culture, and employee value proposition.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Develop recruitment marketing materials and social media content to attract qualified talent.
  • Foster relationships with nursing schools, universities, behavioral health programs, and community organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience recruiting healthcare professionals, behavioral health staff, or clinical personnel preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
