Paralegal / Legal Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Fairbanks, AK
Pay: $21–$30/hour DOE
Schedule: Part-Time | Monday–Friday with flexibility available. Scheduling options may be discussed based on availability, including compatibility with school schedules.

TDL Staffing is assisting with the search for a detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support attorneys through legal research, document preparation, and case coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, values precision, and is comfortable balancing both in-depth legal projects and quick-turn administrative tasks.
Work assignments may range from preparing lengthy legal documents and case files to completing brief forms or filings. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with legal research, investigations, and fact-checking
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, interrogatories, and routine transactional materials
  • File motions and pleadings in accordance with court and judicial procedures
  • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals regarding assigned cases or projects
  • Interview clients and witnesses and prepare written summaries
  • Organize, maintain, and retrieve case files, evidence, exhibits, and related documentation
  • Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including attendance when required
  • Track billable hours and flat-fee project time
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Paralegal certificate required
  • Some related paralegal or legal support experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
