This Paralegal has responsibility for achieving and maintaining compliance within Consumer Documents in support of Travel + Leisure sales, marketing, and business operations. This role requires an understanding of, and an ability to, conduct research, gather and analyze information, maintain confidentiality, establish priorities, anticipate needs, and take initiative to timely and accurately meet deadlines, while creating a high-quality work product. Applicants must also be able to understand legal directives from counsel, manage complex projects, and provide feedback and proactive solutions to partners. This position interacts with other Travel + Leisure employees and occasionally regulatory agencies and outside legal counsel. Under the supervision of Vice President, Counsel I, this role involves drafting, reviewing, and implementing documents necessary to ensure all required legal and regulatory compliance is achieved and maintained within the areas of responsibility. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.

How You'll Shine:

  • Work with in-house counsel to prepare, draft, revise, and coordinate implementation of required Consumer Documents.

  • Perform legal research, including review of various federal, state, and local statutes, as well as applicable governing documents.

  • Maintain required information to ensure accurate records are retained.

  • Work as part of the team in partnership with Consumer Documents on projects as assigned by supervisor and coordinate with other team members working on related documents or projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Associate degree or two-year technical certificate required; paralegal degree, certificate, or Legal Assistant certification preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and apply statutes, codes, and regulatory rules applicable to Travel + Leisure products.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate diverse responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and present information.

  • Experience conducting legal research using online tools, internet resources, and other reference materials.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Knowledge of vacation ownership regimes, drafting, and recording processes is a plus.

  • Experience in hospitality and/or property management preferred.

  • Consumer finance, real estate, and/or title experience is a plus.

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal or in a regulatory compliance role.

Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
