Supporting routine legal processes and assisting with standard commercial matters
Escalating complex issues to Frontline Paralegals for deeper review
Helping Paralegals gather data, analyze legal/compliance factors, and draft recommended guidance
Maintaining, updating, and organizing Legal Self‐Help readiness resources
Contributing to process improvements and efficient matter‐routing workflows
Candidate Requirements

High comfort with technology and learning new tools
An extensive legal background — ideally with experience supporting tech companies or law firms

Summary:
As a General Legal Assistant, you will be accountable to assist the newly formed MCAPS Global Frontline legal team and business teams on commercial legal issues. A special focus is on collecting information from business groups, analyzing which legal and compliance topics might apply, and providing recommended guidance and solutions for the team's review.

Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The main function of an Attorney is to research legal precedent, investigating facts, or preparing legal documents. A typical Attorney is responsible for conducting research to support a legal proceeding, formulate a defense or to initiate legal action.
Review of non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings. Require a Law Degree from a credible university and admission to the bar.
• Key projects: This role will contribute to supporting high volume U.S. business immigration operations including petition review, I-9, e-mail response support, and ensuring legal compliance with daily filings.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:
□ Use U.S. immigration legal knowledge to ensure daily workflow targets are completed and maintain integrity of the onsite case preparation program.
□ Train admins on USCIS filings, USCIS document processing, and PERM job postings, assist with daily admin questions, and review work product to ensure legal accuracy and quality.
□ Assist with root cause analysis and resolution for legal and operational issues.
□ Identify and propose legal process improvement ideas to increase legal quality, improve employee experience, streamline workflow, and build operational resiliency.
□ Complete remote and onsite legal review of filings.
□ Address legal questions that arise related to I-9 completion and E-Verify.
□ Support complex E-Verify issue resolution.
□ Train and monitor admins who support I-9 reverification.
□ Assist managers with understanding PERM requirements and obligations during applicant review
□ Respond to emails from visa dependent employees on topics including visa and green card eligibility, travel, and maintenance of status.
