Job description

Position: Paradigm Platform & CPQ Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC(Onsite/Hybrid)

Duration: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a specialized Paradigm Platform & CPQ Developer to lead the technical design, configuration, and implementation of our product catalog and pricing frameworks. In this role, you will own the development of complex product configurator logic within the Paradigm Suite (primarily Paradigm Omni, with exposure to Vendo and Nexus ERP).

You will translate engineering constraints and retail pricing matrices into functional, interactive digital catalogs used by major home improvement retailers (e.g., Lowe's) and building product manufacturers. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between software development and supply-chain logic, ensuring that any custom configuration built by an in-store associate is mathematically accurate, dynamically priced, and structurally viable for manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Catalog Development & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain highly complex building product catalogs within Paradigm Omni, defining rulesets for infinite product variations (dimensions, glass options, grid configurations, handing, and materials).
  • Rule Engine & Validation Scripting: Author the underlying conditional logic, option dependency rules, and manufacturing validation scripts to ensure zero configuration errors pass to production.
  • Pricing Matrix Engineering: Program and maintain data-driven pricing engines, implementing layered promotional logic, regional multipliers, and dynamic retail margins that recalculate in real-time based on configuration changes.
  • API & System Integration: Develop and optimize data pathways between the front-end Paradigm Omni portal and downstream ERP environments (Paradigm Nexus, SAP, or NetSuite), as well as retail Point of Sale (POS) environments.
  • Performance Tuning & Ingestion: Optimize catalog load times and query execution speeds within the configurator, managing large structural database tables and XML/JSON configuration arrays.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with our Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to ingest product specifications from manufacturing units, translating complex physical engineering constraints into digital platform logic.

Technical Requirements & Qualifications

  • Paradigm Platform Mastery: 3+ years of dedicated development or technical configuration experience specifically within the Paradigm Software Suite (Paradigm Omni is required; experience extending features to Paradigm Vendo or Nexus ERP is highly preferred).
  • CPQ Logic & Programming: Deep proficiency in scripting languages utilized within enterprise CPQ systems (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python, or proprietary rule-authoring languages) to write complex algorithms and data transformations.
  • Database & Data Structure Proficiency: Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries, alongside expert familiarity handling deeply nested JSON, XML, or database-driven pricing schemas.
  • Millwork / Building Products Industry Acumen: 2+ years of experience working in the building materials manufacturing or retail distribution domain. Must understand millwork terminology (e.g., rough openings, egress, U-factor, grid profiles, unit callouts).
  • API Development: Hands-on experience working with RESTful web services and webhooks to trigger data syncing between retail front-ends and production back-ends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience designing and launching catalog updates specifically pushed to major home improvement retail systems (Lowe s My Lowe s OMNI portal or The Home Depot systems).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and maintaining deployment pipelines for catalog testing across Sandbox and Production environments.
