Job description

A private household is seeking a proactive and adaptable Personal Assistant to provide hands-on support for a busy family based in Glencoe, IL. This on-site position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing a variety of responsibilities and can seamlessly balance household operations, personal assistance, and childcare support. The schedule will require flexibility, including daytime hours as well as occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight coverage when needed. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $60,000–$80,000.


Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

  • Oversee daily household operations to ensure the home remains organized, efficient, and running smoothly
  • Manage household upkeep, including laundry, light housekeeping, organization projects, and general home maintenance needs
  • Purchase groceries, household supplies, and other essentials while maintaining inventory and restocking as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee appointments, vendors, deliveries, repairs, and other household service providers
  • Run a variety of personal and household errands while providing administrative support to the family and Managing Partner as requested
  • Safely transport children to and from school, activities, appointments, and other commitments
  • Provide after-school, evening, and occasional weekend support while adapting to changing family schedules
  • Offer occasional overnight coverage during periods of family travel and help maintain a safe, dependable, and supportive home environment


Qualifications of the Personal Assistant:

  • Previous experience in a personal assistant, family assistant, household management, childcare, or similar support role
