Duties include selecting the appropriate tools for taking care of equipment and performing other carpentry tasks. A panel saw operator also chooses saw blades for each job and transports materials before and after cutting them. Some employers may ask operators to work a second or third shift if the current workload demands it—during these times, it is vital to check the equipment for damage from extended use.

What does a panel saw operator do?
