Job description

Job Summary

The Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components for industrial adhesive dispensing and automation equipment. This role ensures all machines are built according to engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and safety standards, supporting on-time delivery and high-quality equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical panels, control boxes, and machine wiring harnesses according to electrical schematics and BOMs
  • Install sensors, switches, relays, PLCs, motors, and other electrical components on machines
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, labeling, and termination
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, ladder diagrams, and engineering documentation
  • Support mechanical assembly team during full machine build process
  • Conduct electrical testing, continuity checks, and functional validation of systems
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues and electrical malfunctions during assembly and testing phases
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including LOTO procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations following 5S principles
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in assembly processes and machine standardization
  • Communicate issues or deviations to engineering and production leadership

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or technical degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, industrial equipment, or machine building
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience with PLCs, sensors, and industrial control systems (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of 24V control systems and industrial automation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
