Job description:

We are looking for a Fully Licensed or Provisionally Licensed Therapist (LCSW(A), LCAS(A), LCMHC(A) or LMFT(A) to provide outpatient therapy services in an office and/or school setting to grow our team. As a member of the StillWaters team, you will work with children, families, school staff, parents, couples, program staff, and other service providers. You will be supported by the business manager and program director in a team environment. StillWaters, one of three programs of HeartWorks, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the underserved mental and physical health needs of youth and families in Pamlico County and surrounding areas.

We will support you through the credentialing process. Our office provides administrative support, generous office space, and therapeutic materials.

Since 2002, StillWaters has provided Pamlico County and surrounding area residents with quality psychotherapy services. We have a professional, relaxed atmosphere built on solid teamwork. As a recipient of a grant from Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, we are able to provide therapy services to children from ages 6-17 at low or no cost.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to clients in office-based and/or school-based settings.

Develop, implement, and maintain effective treatment plans that include accurate diagnoses, measurable goals, and appropriate clinical interventions.

Complete timely and comprehensive clinical documentation, including SOAP notes, within 24 hours of service delivery.

Conduct written intakes, assessments, and ongoing clinical evaluations.

Identify necessary referrals and appropriate community resources to support clients’ clinical, educational, and psychosocial needs.

Complete required clinical staffing forms and participate in monthly staffing meetings with the Program Director.

Document all therapy sessions, referral activities, and client encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) within required timeframes.

Manage an assigned caseload effectively and schedule appointments as needed.

Maintain monthly contact with parents or guardians to provide updates on client progress and address ongoing needs.

Be willing to provide therapeutic services to school-based clients between the ages of 5 and 11.

Therapist Requirements

NC Licensure or Associate Licensure - LCSW(A), LCMHC(A), LMFT(A)

Hold current malpractice policy of at least $1million per claim and $3 million per aggregate

Ability to be credentialed with CAQH, Medicaid, Trillium, BC/BS, and other insurances

Pass Criminal/Background Check

Pay: Negotiable based on clinical experience.

COVID-19 considerations: We offer teletherapy as an option should COVID-19 or other issues arise as a safety measure for our staff, therapists, and clients safety.
