Job description

VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (Reno, NV) Pain Management Physician Opportunity

Role Overview
The VA Sierra Nevada HCS is seeking a Pain Management Physician to join a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering comprehensive, evidence?based pain care for Veterans in Northern Nevada and Eastern California. This role is aligned with VHAs Whole Health Model and emphasizes interventional, multidisciplinary, and opioid?safety?aligned approaches to chronic pain.

Key Functions
Provide specialized evaluation and management of complex acute and chronic pain conditions.
Offer interventional procedures (based on specialty traininge.g., injections, blocks, RFAs).
Collaborate with Behavioral Health, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Primary Care, and Specialty Services.
Support Opioid Safety Initiatives and VHA pain management guidelines.
Participate in interdisciplinary Pain Committees and Whole Health activities.
Ensure compliance with VHA pain standards, documentation, and quality measures.

Preferred Training
Pain Medicine fellowship trained (Anesthesia, PM&R, or Neurology routes accepted).
Experience in interventional pain procedures or multidisciplinary pain programs.
