You will work onsite at our community health clinic, which fosters a warm and inviting atmosphere for both patients and staff. • Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including scheduling patient appointments and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR).
• Greet patients with warmth and professionalism while gathering their medical histories to prepare them for examinations and treatments.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and proper use of medical equipment.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens with precision, properly labeling and documenting each for testing.
• Administer medications and injections under physician supervision, adhering strictly to safety protocols and dosage guidelines.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests such as blood glucose monitoring and electrocardiograms (EKGs), and document results with accuracy.
• Educate patients regarding medication usage, healthcare procedures, and preventative care, fostering patient autonomy through effective communication.
• Measure and record vital signs, height, and weight, ensuring meticulous documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within examination rooms, including sterilizing instruments and monitoring supply inventories.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide coordinated care and contribute to patient treatment plans.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is highly preferred.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical software to maintain accurate patient documentation.

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, particularly in a cardiology or outpatient clinic setting.
• Hands-on experience with basic laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Familiarity with insurance processing and billing systems.
