Job description

POSITION TITLE: INDUSTRIAL SEWING OPERATOR
DEPARTMENT: CHAIR ASSEMBLY
JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: MAYELA BORCHELT
SHIFT: 1st
DATE: 8/28/26
FUNCTION
Sew office chairs, cushions and various other components using traditional sewing machines/equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Stitcher - Stitches fabrics, vinyls, leathers using industrial sewing machines following established practices. Single needle, double needle, top stitch as required. High attention to detail. Responsible to produce cleanly tailored upholstery with minimal wrinkles/pleats particularly around curved shapes. Follows established procedures to ensure correct application of fabrics. Aligns cut/sewn covers to ensure correct appearance. Filling in in other departments (cutting, gluing, assembly, packing, material handling, etc.) when capacity issues arise. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience sewing office chairs.
Read and understand production paperwork.
Work overtime as necessary.
