Job description

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on team member to support our Anodize and Chem Film production line. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that serves as a production floater and backup Line Operator, providing support wherever it is needed while learning how to operate the plating line.

The Backup Line Operator will play an important role in keeping production moving by preparing parts, loading and unloading the line, building racks, packing finished parts, and stepping in to operate the line when needed.

What You'll Do

Line Support & Production

  • Learn to operate the Anodize and Chem Film line and serve as a backup Line Operator.
  • Support Line Operators with day-to-day production needs.
  • Load baskets with parts for processing according to job requirements.
  • Rack parts for processing, ensuring parts are positioned correctly and securely.
  • Un-rack parts after processing and prepare them for the next step.
  • Pack finished parts according to customer and job requirements.
  • Build, modify, and maintain production racks using basic hand tools.
  • Move between different production tasks as needed to keep the department running efficiently.
  • Maintain a steady pace and prioritize tasks to keep production on schedule.

Quality & Attention to Detail

  • Follow work instructions and customer-specific requirements.
  • Pay close attention to part orientation, racking methods, and processing requirements.
  • Handle parts carefully to prevent damage, scratches, or other defects.
  • Identify and communicate any obvious issues or concerns to the Line Operator or Manager.
  • Ensure parts are properly loaded, processed, and handled throughout the production process.

Work Environment

This position is located in a production area adjacent to our shipping and receiving bay. The work environment is active and may experience seasonal temperature changes, including warmer temperatures during the summer and cooler temperatures during the winter. Employees should be comfortable working in these conditions while performing their regular production duties.

Shift Hours

  • Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 3:30pm, Friday 6:30am-12:30pm

Total Compensation Package

  • Wage
    • $18.00 - $21.00 per hour.
    • Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
