Job description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and mathematical skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds daily
B. EDUCATION AND TRAINING
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Shipping & Receiving Experience preferred
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Successful completion of in house Hi-Lo training
JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist in all phases of warehouse operations. Perform all duties and functional responsibilities. A. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Finished Goods:
    • Pull finished goods to prepare for daily shipments; utilize hi-lo equipment to pull elevated finished goods.
    • Post master orders to computer inventory and place on shelf; utilize hi-lo equipment to replace elevated items.
    • Maintain finished goods inventory and records
    • Properly identify all packaged items with barcode labels.
    • Complete all appropriate paperwork.
A. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Cont'd)
  • Keep work areas clean and neat
  • Shipping and Receiving
    • Prepare shippers, bill of lading, customs papers and any other required paperwork for outbound shipments and attach to packing envelope.
      • Shrink wrap boxes on pallets and stage in the appropriate area
      • Call freight carriers and/or customers for pick-up
      • Sort freight to appropriate skids and place shippers in packing envelopes
      • Load all daily UPS and special pick-ups as required
      • Cross train in all Shipping and Receiving functions.
        • Receive Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with incoming chemicals and distribute to Ink Technician.
          • Observe all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations as required.
