Job description

A well-established supply chain and procurement organization is seeking a Packaging Development Specialist to support packaging innovation, commercialization, and continuous improvement.


Working closely with marketing, operations, quality, suppliers, and creative partners, you'll help bring new products and packaging initiatives from concept to launch while ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality and operational standards.


This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with experience in packaging, product development, commercialization, manufacturing, or graphics coordination who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate packaging development activities for new product launches, promotions, and operational initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and implementation schedules.
  • Coordinate packaging samples, testing, approvals, and production readiness.
  • Partner with suppliers, marketing, quality, operations, and creative teams throughout the development process.
  • Coordinate artwork development, proofing, approvals, and version control.
  • Maintain packaging specifications, technical documentation, and project records.
  • Support supplier communications and laboratory testing activities.
  • Assist with packaging improvements focused on quality, functionality, cost optimization, and sustainability.
  • Monitor industry trends, packaging innovations, and regulatory developments.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in packaging development, product development, manufacturing, graphic production, commercialization, or a related field.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
