Job description

Packaged Application Development Senior Manager (Accenture LLP; Houston, TX): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Packaged Application Development Senior Manager in Houston, TX, and the job duties are as follows:
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop or update project plans for information technology projects, including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Analyze, design, build, and test new components or enhancements to existing modules.
  • Develop system specifications and interfaces for complex components.
  • Create operational documentation for applications.
  • Maintain applications according to SLAs.
  • Develop testing plans.
  • Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system rollouts, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems, which are then implemented by the team.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Manage large teams and/or work efforts.
  • Conduct project and issue management (status reporting, issue reporting, ETC/budget reporting) for assigned scope of work.
  • Participate in setting strategic direction to establish near-term goals for area of responsibility.
  • Interact with client and/or Accenture senior management, which involves negotiating or influencing significant project matters.
  • Have latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 7 years of experience (of which 5 years must be progressive post-baccalaureate experience) in the IT consulting industry.
Must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Developing detailed functional specifications, and configuring SAP S/4HANA modules including Manufacturing Execution (MES), Production Planning (PP), and Extending Warehouse Management (EWM);
  • Leading requirement gathering and localization workshops, translating business needs into SAP SCM solutions;
  • Working closely with business stakeholders and guiding onshore/offshore developers, ensuring quality delivery using DevOps practices;
  • Designing and executing testing cycles, leading quality reviews with ALM and Azure DevOps (ADO) tools;
  • Managing full project lifecycle using Agile, ADM, PPSM, and Compressive methodologies; and
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders, handling scope and change management, and delivering sustainable, innovative SAP solutions.

Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
