A PRN Lab Tech is a laboratory technician who works on an as-needed basis, filling in for staff shortages or peak workload times. They perform lab tests, analyze samples, and ensure accurate results to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. PRN positions offer flexibility but may not guarantee consistent hours or benefits. This role is common in hospitals, clinics, and research labs requiring additional support.
To thrive as a Prn Lab Tech, you typically need a background in laboratory science, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately perform tests and analyze samples, often supported by an associate’s degree or relevant certification such as ASCP. Seeking PRN Lab Tech for Morenci Clinic
PRN employees are called whenever there is a need for staff coverage. PRN Lab Techs have one scheduled day a week and are called as needed for staff coverage. PRNs have the flexibility to accept or decline shifts based on their needs.
Our Lab Techs perform blood draws, specimen collections, calibrate and maintain machines, and perform lab procedures.
A team environment requires good communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to follow protocols and procedures is a must. The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalency. Phlebotomy experience is required.
Will train on laboratory procedures, equipment usage/maintenance, and software requirements.
PRN employees are eligible to participate in our generous 401k plan.
Employment is contingent on the successful completion of a post-offer drug and alcohol test and a successful background check, followed by compliance with GHR’s random and for-cause employee drug and alcohol testing policy during employment.
