Job description

Experienced Pre-Press Operator– First Shift


Westamerica is looking for a skilled and detail-driven Pre-Press Operator to join our production team.


We're not your average printer; some say Westamerica is Orange County's favorite. We're a fun-loving, high-performing team of 90+ with nearly 50 years of experience. We’re still growing—and we’re looking for someone who can join our pre-press team.


Responsibilities:

  • Prep, troubleshoot, and optimize print files for litho, and digital output.
  • Help maintain and enforce prepress SOPs to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Review client-supplied artwork, ensuring files meet print specs and color standards.
  • Work with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and RIP software (Prinergy).
  • Collaborate with production and account teams for efficient job flow and file handoff.
  • Maintain organized digital file systems and drive continuous improvement in the department.


Expectations:

  • 5+ years of hands-on prepress experience, including digital and offset workflows.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and RIP software (Prinergy, and Enfocus a plus).
  • Deep knowledge of file prep standards and print production workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-driven mindset, and ability to manage deadlines.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
