Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Welder 1 to join our growing team. The Welder 1 assists in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG weld and fit are a plus.
Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:
• Scrapers, 7" grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools used
• Safely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building components
• Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area
• Must always have a high awareness for safety
• Any other duties assigned
• Must train on company policies and procedures
• Must follow welding procedures
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
• Familiar/fluent in MIG processes
• Previous experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plus
• Welding certifications beneficial but not required
Requirements
• Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
• Must wear proper safety equipment
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)
Boot Requirements:
• Must meet ASTM F2413-18 standards
• Must be full-leather (no fabric)
• Must have a built-in Metatarsal Guard (MT)
Salary Description
$18.50 - $21.00/hr
