Job description

Position Overview Sentry is seeking an experienced Steel Erection Foreman to lead crews in the erection of pre-engineered metal buildings, including structural steel, insulation systems, and exterior steel components. This role is hands-on and leadership-driven, responsible for planning, safety, execution, and crew performance across multiple job sites. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and execute multiple steel erection projects simultaneously
  • Lead daily jobsite kickoffs covering scope, sequencing, safety, and schedule
  • Coordinate crew start times, locations, and daily expectations
  • Ensure crews have proper tools, materials, and training to perform safely and efficiently
  • Supervise erection of PEMB systems, including structural steel, insulation, and exterior steel
  • Maintain high-quality standards while prioritizing jobsite safety
  • Manage equipment, machinery, and crane coordination
  • Approve timecards and track labor productivity
  • Complete required documentation including timesheets, work orders, and incident reports
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
  • Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Communicate job completion status for invoicing and operations coordination

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in steel erection or metal building construction
  • Proven experience erecting pre-engineered metal buildings
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Experience working with cranes and signaling hoisting operations
  • Comfortable working at heights 50-100+ feet
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced, multi-crew environments
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle
  • OSHA 10 (required or ability to obtain)

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Frequent climbing, lifting, bending, and working at heights
  • Willingness to work long hours and in adverse weather conditions
  • Regular exposure to outdoor environments and jobsite noise
