Job description

Sr. Executive / AM Calibration Laboratory

Lead calibration activities for flow measurement instruments in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL accreditation requirements. Ensure traceability, maintain uncertainty budgets, and uphold the integrity of the laboratory’s NABL scope. Act as the primary technical liaison with the overseas parent company for knowledge transfer, technical support, and alignment with global standards. Drive technical excellence, audit readiness, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Willingness to work by own hand
  • Perform and supervise calibration of flow meters using NABL-approved methods.
  • Validate calibration procedures and maintain uncertainty budgets as per GUM.
  • Ensure traceability to national/international standards and maintain NABL scope integrity.
  • Implement and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System.
  • Prepare and manage NABL documentation (Quality Manual, SOPs, Uncertainty Calculations).
  • Coordinate internal audits, management reviews, ILC and proficiency testing.
  • Handle nonconformities, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
  • Act as key contact during NABL assessments and ensure closure of audit findings.
  • Prepare and present audit evidence: calibration records, uncertainty budgets, traceability certificates, and environmental monitoring data.
  • Communicate regularly with overseas technical teams for method validation and global best practices.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge transfer from overseas experts to local team.
  • Train team members on NABL requirements, uncertainty evaluation, and safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support for calibration requirements and troubleshooting.
  • Improve process, turnaround time and optimize flow rig utilization.
  • Development of calibration rig parts locally.
  • Perform periodical checks.
  • Perform yearly calibration of instruments mounted on the rigs.
Qualifications

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent.

Experience: 10–15+ years in flow metrology/calibration with NABL and ISO/IEC 17025 exposure to handling and managing documents, records, audits, etc.

Certifications: ISO/IEC 17025 auditor training.

Technical Expertise
  • Advanced knowledge of flow measurement principles and installation effects.
  • Proficiency in uncertainty analysis (Type A/Type B), drift studies, and MSA.
  • Hands‑on experience with calibration rigs, DAQ systems, and calibration management software.
  • Familiarity with NABL documentation and audit processes.
  • Ability to work in a global technical environment and coordinate across time zones.
