You'll need to be proactive in monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and communicating effectively with on-call teams or stakeholders. To prepare, focus on building strong technical troubleshooting skills, familiarize yourself with incident response protocols, and develop strategies to manage fatigue and maintain alertness during overnight shifts. Embracing clear documentation and handoff practices can also ensure seamless transitions with daytime teams.
