Job Summary:
Position requires on-site attendance; this is not a remote work position.
Greenville Utilities Commission is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst I/II to serve as a technology leader within our IT Department. This role is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing integrated business systems that deliver substantial value across the Commission. The position also provides technical exerptise and direct supervision to a team of up to nine employees, including GIS Technicians, Interns, and Systems Analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of up to nine staff (GIS Technicians, Interns, Systems Analysts)
  • Research, analyze, architect, and support systems and applications with focus on engineering and operations systems
  • Troubleshoot systems using logs and core technical knowledge
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve system utilization
  • Support web, desktop, and mobile applications across the organization
  • Serve as a front-line leader, interfacing directly with senior-level staff in engineering and operations

Preferred Knowledge:
  • Understanding of natural gas, electricity, sanitary sewer, and water utility operational functions
  • Experience with spatially aware systems, including the ESRI suite (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Portal, Utility Network)
  • Familiarity with work and asset management systems such as Trimble CityWorks or Trimble Unity
  • Understanding of how enterprise systems (SCADA, Asset Management, GIS, Customer Information Systems) integrate within a municipal environment

Senior Systems Analyst I:
Salary Range: $96,012.80 - $152,609.60 Anticipated Hiring Range: $96,012.80 - $124,300.80
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Over 7 years of experience providing direct support for similar systems
  • Working knowledge of the current supported business systems and/or strong knowledge of core underlying technologies
  • Experience leading and directly managing personnel
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree in computer science or related field

Senior Systems Analyst II:
Salary Range: $104,603.20 - $166,316.80 Anticipated Hiring Range: $104,603.20 - $135,512.00
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Over 10 years of experience providing direct support for similar systems
  • Working knowledge of the current supported business systems and/or strong knowledge of core underlying technologies
  • Experience leading and directly managing personnel
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree in computer science or related field

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8AM - 5PM
