Licensed Customs Broker
 
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced US Licensed Customs Broker with RLF (Remote Location Filing) capabilities to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling customs clearance and RLF procedures for oil and gas projects and cargo.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all customs clearance activities for oil and gas projects and cargo, including documentation review and submission, classification, valuation, and duty/tax assessment.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to clients on customs regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements related to oil and gas projects and cargo.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, the Customs Modernization Act, and the Foreign Trade Regulations.
  • Interface with relevant government agencies, such as the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Department of Commerce, on behalf of clients.
  • Manage and maintain records of all customs clearance activities, including documentation and electronic records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of RLF entries, including coordination with remote location filing partners and clients.
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations on trade compliance and logistics issues related to oil and gas projects and cargo.
  • Stay up to date on changes to customs regulations and procedures and provide training and education to clients and colleagues as needed.
 
Qualifications
US Licensed Customs Broker with extensive experience in handling customs clearance INBONDS for oil and gas projects and cargo.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and compliance requirements, including but not limited to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, the Customs Modernization Act, and the Foreign Trade Regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with clients, government agencies, and remote location filing partners.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and maintain records of all customs clearance activities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice and recommendations to clients.
Proficiency in RLF procedures and software.
Experience working with oil and gas projects and cargo preferred.
