Position:  Parts Counterperson / Safety Sensitive

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers/technicians/wholesale customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line
  • Pull purchased parts from stock
  • If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit overnight order if requested by the customer or advisor
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
  • Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with customers and co-workers
  • Provide the same high level of service to the other dealership departments, as is given to outside customers
  • Issue credit slips for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice or its number is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified
  • Keep front and rear counters clean and uncluttered
  • Participate in available training programs

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Organized and friendly personality
  • Strong time management skills
  • Fantastic communication skills with your customers
  • Ability to lift or move heavier items
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Able to work rotating Saturdays
  • The individual must maintain an acceptable driving record according to our insurance standards at all times.
  • No employee or applicant should be under the influence of any substance including medical marijuana on-site or during work hours. Further, employees under the influence of are prohibited from undertaking any task that would constitute negligence or professional malpractice, and are prohibited from operating any type of powered vehicle or powered equipment - handheld or otherwise.
