Job Summary
Position Type: Full-TIme
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Workshift: 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM, Mon-Fri

California Sierra Express is looking for a dependable Night Shift Warehouse Associate to close out our overnight operations and prepare our warehouse for a successful start to the next day.

We're an expedited ground transportation company specializing in the movement of palletized freight throughout California and Nevada. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and secure warehouse while ensuring freight is accurately handled, loaded and departs on-time.ย 

Responsibilities include:

  • Load and unload palletized freight using a sit-down forklift
  • Process inboud shipments by inspecting and labeling the cargo
  • Notate damage or discrepancies on paperwork and report to a supervisor
  • Organize and stage freight for outbound routes
  • Build and wrap pallets by hand when necessary
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Complete the nightly housekeeping andl lockdown procedure

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Computer data entry experience
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift
  • Ability to safely lift and move freight throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently
  • Logistics or LTL freight experience is preferred

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid Driverโ€™s License, preferred.
  3. Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing.
  5. Ability to demonstrate basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and some division.
