We build unforgettable experiences by pushing the boundaries of creativity, authenticity and innovation across every genre.
Our portfolio is brought to life by some of the most influential game development studios in the world. Visual Concepts, Firaxis Games, Hangar 13, Cat Daddy Games, 31st Union, Cloud Chamber, Gearbox, HB Studios, and 2K SportsLab create world-class experiences across platforms.
But what truly powers 2K is our people.
We believe the best ideas come from teams that feel empowered, supported, and inspired. As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where people are encouraged to come as they are and do their best work.
What We Need
We're looking for a passionate Staff Data Analyst to support the Sports* Game Science & Insights team, to explore, analyze, report, and action on data from our portfolio of titles (WWE 2K, PGA TOUR 2K). We're looking for someone who can translate product & business knowledge into deep analysis and, in turn, translate to actionable insights for cross functional business stakeholders. As you deliver valuable insights to stakeholders, you will aim to build strong relationships, become a trusted partner among business functions, and scale out team efforts from one team to the next. Our mission is to enable our partners to be more proactive, productive & successful by providing best in class, end-to-end and scalable data solutions.
What You Will Do
  • Leverage a deep understanding of how our titles' game features & mechanics work and our business priorities to deliver actionable, business-impacting insights
  • Support business narratives and develop business cases with effective data storytelling. Focus on using data and hypothesis-driven decision-making to drive future growth and customer lifetime value
  • Learn different business teams' and stakeholders' ways of working and preferences for understanding data, and be a bridge between the data team and business teams (Product, Marketing, Commercial) to translate complex business needs into data-related projects
  • Tailor the output to match stakeholder needs, including reports, visualizations, charts, and tables
  • Gain an understanding of internal titles outside of our portfolio (NBA 2K, Borderlands, other 2K titles) to provide strong benchmarking and comparison points for business performance
  • Lead the exploration of creative new ways of measurement to identify patterns and causal relationships
  • Empower teams to track and analyze activity/productivity and support their research projects, leading the efforts towards building scalable self-service tools
  • Act as a subject matter expert to support analysts and other data-users to improve their capabilities. Grow and develop best practices that contribute to both the team and wider business understanding of our players
  • Data doesn't just appear overnight, we work with our stakeholders to understand what data matters most to their business and strategy. In addition to delivering insights on what is available to us, this role will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders to proactively identify what data we need to begin to record for future initiatives that drive value
What Will Make You A Great Fit
The ideal candidate for this role has the ability to see the underlying story in the data, know how to ask the right questions and relate output back to measurable player or business outcomes. A solution-oriented and creative problem solver. A self-starter with the passion and enthusiasm to join a growing insights team to get results for meaningful change.
  • Track record of successfully leading the delivery of insights and analysis across business functions (Product, Commercial, Marketing)
  • Proven ability to produce impactful insights that resulted in tangible enhancements to product or business outcomes
  • Profound knowledge in SQL
  • Great communication skills and a clear understanding of how to make insights understandable and actionable for the business
  • High degree of proactivity and curiosity to understand, measure, and improve our understanding of our players and their behaviour
  • Ability to lead the delivery of complex projects, manage changing priorities and coach others to success
  • Understanding internal customer satisfaction as one of your key success factors
  • Profound experience in data modeling (strong nice to have: data science language, such as Python or R)
  • Experience in data visualization tools, such as Tableau
  • Video games experience & passion - particularly in sports titles
