FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Location: Roanoke, IN
Industry: Industrial Automotive Manufacturing
Pay: $33.00 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking two experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisors to support operations at a large industrial automotive manufacturing facility in Roanoke, Indiana. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will oversee daily facility maintenance activities, coordinate maintenance personnel and skilled trades, and ensure the facility remains safe, operational, and well-maintained.

These are hands-on supervisory positions in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial facilities maintenance experience along with the ability to lead employees, prioritize work, troubleshoot issues, and respond effectively to facility maintenance needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and coordinate daily facilities maintenance activities and personnel.
Oversee maintenance of the building, equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
Assign work orders and prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency and operational needs.
Monitor completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot facility-related issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel and outside contractors.
Support maintenance activities involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.
Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Monitor work orders and maintenance activities through a CMMS/work order management system.
Communicate maintenance issues, completed work, and outstanding concerns to management and other shifts.
Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize equipment and facility downtime.
Assist with contractor coordination and ensure contractors follow site safety requirements.
Conduct routine facility inspections and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and facility procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Provide leadership, direction, and support to maintenance employees.
Respond to facility emergencies and after-hours maintenance issues as needed.
Promote a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous supervisory or lead experience in industrial facilities maintenance or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of industrial building and facility systems.
Experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
Experience working in an automotive manufacturing or other industrial environment preferred.
Experience using a CMMS or computerized work order system preferred.
Ability to read and understand maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment information.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance issues in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during the overnight shift.
Ability to work a required overnight schedule, including weekends for the FridayMonday position.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or maintenance-related certifications preferred.
