We are currently hiring for a Loss Prevention Officer - Overnight, a vital role within our leadership team. This position offers the opportunity to shape and support a world-class hospitality experience from behind the scenes, ensuring excellence in every detail.

Job Summary:

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all outlets through routine and thorough inspections. This role involves conducting detailed safety and security checks, completing accurate documentation including checklists and incident reports, and identifying potential risks or breaches. The Loss Prevention Officer plays a key role in maintaining a secure environment by supporting preventative measures and responding effectively to incidents as needed.

  • Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs all essential functions associated with the position of a Loss Prevention Officer as detailed in the Loss Prevention Training Manual.
  • Acts as the Manager on Duty for the complex during the overnight shift.
  • Greet and interact with internal and external guests.
  • Maintain the integrity of the guest's privacy, including confidentiality of personal information.
  • Routinely walk the interior and exterior of the building and accurately complete daily inspection reports as required.
  • Direct and coordinate emergency response efforts as required.
  • Use specified software programs to complete detailed tours, inspections and to document and report any deficiencies found during inspections to the applicable department.
  • Provide security presence during high-profile events or other events, functions, and activities as directed by the Loss Prevention Supervisor.
  • Review and monitor and maintain CCTV (Camera System) systems as needed.
  • Complete required tasks and assignments as directed by the Loss Prevention Supervisor.
  • Secure and document lost and found items according to SOP.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area.
  • Maintain the integrity of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions during tours and inspections to ensure a prompt response. Complete accident/incident reports as required.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments.
  • Monitor public areas for unusual activity and potential threats.
  • Conduct package checks of employees exiting the building.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in various situations and use sound judgment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP, Safety Rules, OSHA regulations and Training Manuals
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize and multi-task.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must possess a drivers license with an acceptable driving record per company standards.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Loss Prevention/Security experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain the certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
