Job description

Located within walking distance of Nationwide Arena and the trendy Arena District, Hyatt Regency Columbus redefines the modern hotel experience. We offer 633 renovated guest rooms and spacious suites and 70,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.  We are connected to the Greater Columbus Convention Center and steps to the Short North Arts District, ours is the hotel in which to meet and play in downtown Columbus.

Because we are looking for an Overnight Front Office Host!

What does the ROLE entail?

     Responsible for the oversight of specific night audit duties including checking and correcting the hotel's guest ledger, ensuring cash, check or credit card payments have been collected and performing basic front desk duties such as checking guests in and out, collecting payment and proper identification, upselling and suggesting room upgrades where possible, answering guest questions and providing suggestions, and coordinating with the engineer and security guard on duty to respond to guest requests and calls

     Strong guest service orientation in order to ensure high guest expectations

     This position handles the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions

     Fast-paced environment that requires moderate amounts of walking and continuous standing

     Highly visible role gives the opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience.

     Other duties may include processing forms of payment, responding to guest inquiries and upselling hotel rooms

Your EXPERIENCE:

     A true desire to satisfy the needs of others

     Hotel Front Desk experience is preferred

     Capable of standing for long periods of time

     Able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision

     Must be able to work overnight and a flexible schedule, including, weekends and holidays
