Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring an Quality Inspector for a manufacturing facility in Garden Grove, CA. This is a temp-to-hire 2nd shift position paying $18.50-$19.50/hr, with approximately 8 hours of overtime per week. In this role, you will inspect cylinder shells and finished product coming off the line, load machines with cylinders, and move product onto pallets. New hires train on 1st shift until ready, then transition to the permanent 2nd shift schedule.
Pay: $18.50-$19.50/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-12:30 AM (training on 1st shift: 4:00 AM-2:30 PM until ready)
Location: Garden Grove, CA
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory
Overtime: Weekly OT required (~8 hrs/wk)
Responsibilities
  • Inspect cylinder shells as they come off production machines, checking for defects or nonconformances.
  • Inspect finished cylinders before they are released for packaging or shipment.
  • Load cylinder shells into production machines to maintain line flow.
  • Match paperwork to cylinders and production records throughout the process.
  • Move finished product onto pallets using proper material handling techniques.

Minimum Requirements
  • 6+ months of general labor experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a quality inspection or visual inspection role.
  • Familiarity with reading or matching production paperwork and work orders.
  • Experience working with metal parts, cylinders, or pressure vessels.
  • Background in high-volume production or assembly line environments.
  • Comfort working a consistent overnight or 2nd shift schedule.

Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequently throughout the shift.
  • Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical / fit-for-duty exam.
