Job description

This is a fixed-term role scheduled to conclude on December 31, with potential opportunities for continued employment within Corewell Health at that time. The position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring approximately 40% onsite presence initially. Beginning late March, onsite requirements will increase during training periods to support team members who need Epic access.

We are specifically seeking candidates who have served in the Epic Principal Trainer role (enduser training ownership for an Epic implementation/upgrade), including curriculum build + delivery + golive/attheelbow support. Candidates who are Epiccredentialed but have not performed as a Principal Trainer will not be considered

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for conducting classroom training, one-on-one training, virtual training, at the elbow training support and implementation support with a primary focus on Epic and other Health Systems. Will partner with training team members, subject matter experts, and customers to develop audience-specific training including traditional and computer-based curriculum materials. Will help organize and report on training registration and completion. Occasional weekend training and daytime or overnight travel may be required.

Essential Functions
  • Deliver impactful training experiences through classroom instruction, oneonone coaching, virtual sessions, and attheelbow support, with a primary focus on Epic and other health systems.

  • Develop and maintain project documentation such as work plans, status reports, and risk assessments to ensure training initiatives stay on track.

  • Collaborate with project teams to implement training strategies, test environments, edit and assemble course materials, and guide users through operational change management.

  • Coordinate training logistics by preparing classrooms, managing rosters, tracking completion, and ensuring all materials are ready for successful delivery.

  • Build strong relationships with super users and maintain ongoing communication to reinforce understanding and adoption of training content.

  • CERT - Epic Tapestry certification at time of hire
  • 2 years of relevant experience
