The hotel features 247 rooms spread across 12 floors, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations in the DMV area. With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia, totaling 35,000 sq ft, it includes two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings and plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. What will you be doing?

Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders such as replacing Filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the Residence and keep the product quality standard.

Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement.

Assist in checking and making (if needed) repairs and assist with major repairs of all Residence equipment including kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, gym equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.

Maintain residence dog park/garden.

Maintain the building exterior and "curb appeal" (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).

Refurbish furniture and fixtures within the residence such as tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.

Respond in a courteous manner to all residentsโ€™ questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong residentsโ€™ satisfaction.

Exposure to extreme temperatures.

Operation of heavy machinery.

Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be HVAC certified. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Can communicate well with residents. Must be willing to โ€œpitch-inโ€ and help co- workers with their job duties and be a collaborator. Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
