Position: Data Entry Clerk/Book keeper

Location: Elma, NY

Duration: 6 Months


Overview

The Data Entry Specialist – Timekeeping is responsible for accurately entering, maintaining, and auditing employee time and attendance records. This role ensures payroll data integrity by processing timesheets, resolving discrepancies, and supporting compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Accurately input leave balances into the timekeeping system

· Review and validate timekeeping data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies

· Communicate with employees, supervisors, and HR/payroll teams to correct and clarify time entries

· Maintain up-to-date records of attendance, and absence

· Generate and distribute timekeeping and attendance reports as needed

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information

· Follow established procedures and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred)

· 1–3 years of data entry, payroll, or timekeeping experience preferred
