Web Developer

Location: Compton, CA

Reports To: Creative Director

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Web Developer to own the development, optimization, and ongoing health of the company's digital ecosystem. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the corporate website, landing pages, and CMS infrastructure while continuously improving user experience, site performance, SEO, accessibility, and conversion rates.

The ideal candidate is both a technical expert and a problem solver who can translate marketing objectives into high-performing digital experiences. This role will work closely with marketing, product management, sales, and creative teams to deliver a best-in-class online experience that drives awareness, engagement, lead generation, and revenue growth.

Mission

Create and maintain a world-class digital experience that drives demand generation, supports distributor and end-user engagement, maximizes lead conversion, and ensures the long-term health, performance, and scalability of the company's web properties.

Core Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the company's website and digital properties.
  • Build new website pages, landing pages, microsites, and interactive experiences.
  • Manage and optimize the CMS environment.
  • Implement responsive, mobile-first designs that perform across devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with designers and marketers to bring digital experiences to life.

User Experience (UX) & Conversion Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to improve user journeys and website usability.
  • Implement UI/UX enhancements that improve engagement and lead generation.
  • Optimize landing pages and conversion paths.
  • Conduct A/B testing and recommend improvements based on performance data.
  • Improve navigation, content structure, and customer experience across the site.

SEO & Technical Optimization

  • Implement technical SEO best practices across all web properties.
  • Optimize page structure, metadata, schema markup, internal linking, and site architecture.
  • Monitor and resolve technical SEO issues.
  • Partner with agency and content teams to improve organic search performance.
  • Support local, distributor, and product-focused SEO initiatives.

Website Performance & Accessibility

  • Monitor and improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
  • Ensure websites meet accessibility standards, including WCAG compliance.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement best practices for page load speed, image optimization, and code efficiency.
  • Maintain browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.

Analytics & Tracking

  • Own implementation and maintenance of analytics and tracking systems.
  • Configure and manage Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, CMS tracking, and other marketing technologies.
  • Ensure accurate attribution and conversion tracking.
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting to measure website performance and user behavior.
  • Partner with marketing leadership to identify KPIs and optimization opportunities.

Forms, Integrations & Marketing Technology

  • Build and maintain lead-generation forms and conversion mechanisms.
  • Support integrations between website properties, CMS platforms, and third-party systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues impacting lead capture or data flow.
  • Support implementation of marketing automation and personalization initiatives.

Technical QA & Systems Health

  • Conduct ongoing quality assurance testing across web properties.
  • Identify and resolve bugs, broken links, tracking issues, and user experience problems.
  • Monitor website uptime, security, and overall system health.
  • Maintain documentation for web development processes and standards.
  • Coordinate with external development partners when necessary.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 5+ years of front-end web development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design.
  • Experience working within BigCommerce, HubSpot CMS, or similar CMS platforms.
  • Experience implementing SEO best practices and website analytics.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards.
  • Experience with website performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization tools.
  • Familiarity with APIs and third-party integrations.

$130,000 - $135,000 a year
