As an EMV Chip Profile Developer, you will support the design, development, testing, and implementation of chip profiles used in payment cards. You will work closely with clients, vendors, product owners, and operations teams to translate business and technical requirements into compliant chip solutions. Your work helps deliver secure, accurate payment experiences, supports successful client EMV implementations, and helps ensure continuity and quality across plastic card production.
What you'll do:

  • Design, configure, test, and implement chip profiles for debit and credit card programs in coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Translate technical requirements into profile logic, data mapping, and implementation documentation to support accurate delivery
  • Troubleshoot production issues that occur during chip personalization, client testing, and client authorization, partnering with operations, clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive timely resolution
  • Validate chip profile functionality through testing, defect analysis, and issue resolution across the implementation lifecycle
  • Partner with product owners, software vendors, and output operations teams to support profile deployment and production readiness
  • Communicate implementation status, technical specifications, risks, and dependencies to clients and project stakeholders
  • Support medium-to-large-scale implementation projects by managing assigned deliverables, timelines, and quality standards

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 2+ years of experience in analysis, coding, testing, and implementation within payment processing, card technologies, or a related financial technology environment
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, provide technical consultation, and support project delivery across the implementation lifecycle
  • 2+ years of experience interpreting technical specifications, performing data mapping, and supporting system validation and defect resolution
  • Experience working with EMV processing, authorization messaging, transaction flows, or chip and plastic card technology
  • Experience reading and interpreting raw data in American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII), Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code (EBCDIC), hexadecimal, or binary formats
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools to create documentation, track deliverables, and communicate project status
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience validating transactions through 3270 screens
  • Experience with Entrust Data Card or IDEMIA chip personalization platforms
  • Experience supporting issuer implementations or card personalization processes
  • Knowledge of EMV cryptographic keys and association chip profile specifications
