Job Title: Laboratory Technician Lv3
Client: Food Manufacturing Company
Duration: 11 Months
Location: Plymouth, MN 55447
Shift: 1st Shift - 8:00 AM
Description:
Job Summary
Support research scientists at the Minneapolis R&D Center by conducting pilot trials, laboratory experiments, routine analysis, reporting results, and maintaining pilot plant/lab equipment while following EHS and food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support research projects and activities.
  • Conduct pilot fermentation trials and routine experiments.
  • Perform microbiological plating and sampling.
  • Analyze, organize, and communicate experimental results.
  • Execute designed experiments and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain pilot plant and laboratory equipment.
  • Follow EHS and food safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with research teams.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Science, or related science field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Good teamwork, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to execute experiments and troubleshoot.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Science, or related field.
  • Experience with fermentation and fermentation biology.
  • 6 months-3 years of food-grade pilot plant experience.
  • Experience with microbiology sampling and sterile techniques.
  • Experience with fermentation operations.
  • Knowledge of downstream purification technologies: Chromatography, Centrifugation, Filtration, Membrane separation, Crystallization, Evaporation
