Position Overview:

The Account Executive - Audiovisual (AV) is responsible for driving new and existing business, achieving sales targets, and building long-term client relationships. This role owns the full sales cycle - from prospecting and needs discovery through closing and post-sale account management.

This position supports clients and business development efforts throughout the Northern California market, with a primary focus on the Fremont and greater Bay Area region. Candidates must reside in California or be willing to relocate. Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be considered based on location and business needs.

This individual serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and works closely with internal teams to deliver AV/IT solutions that meet client needs. Depending on experience, this role may support mid-market opportunities or lead more complex, enterprise-level engagements.

Skills & Core Strengths
  • Consultative, solution-based selling
  • Pipeline development and territory management
  • Client relationship building and account management
  • Proposal development and negotiation
  • AV/IT industry knowledge and solution positioning
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities

What You’ll Do
  • Own full-cycle sales activities including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing business
  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue and gross margin targets
  • Develop and execute a territory plan aligned to business objectives
  • Identify client needs and translate them into effective AV/IT solutions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships before, during, and after the sale
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, bids, and presentations, including scope, timelines, and change orders
  • Partner with engineering, project management, and operations to support successful project execution
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and client data in CRM
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects
  • Support resolution of client issues related to scope, schedule, or commercial terms
  • Participate in industry events, trainings, and internal meetings

What We’re Looking For
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • 3-7+ years (Account Executive) or 7-12+ years (Senior-level) of consultative sales experience in AV/IT, technology integration, or a related industry
  • Experience managing sales cycles; exposure to complex or enterprise deals at higher levels
  • Strong ability to identify client needs and develop effective solutions
  • Working knowledge of AV/IT systems and integration environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage a territory, priorities, and deadlines independently
  • Comfortable in client-facing environments, including executive-level interactions
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including occasional overnight travel
Work Location

This position is based in California and supports the Northern California territory, including Fremont and surrounding markets. Candidates may work remotely or in a hybrid capacity, provided they can effectively support client meetings, business development activities, and travel requirements within the assigned territory. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Experience Level

Level will be determined based on experience, scope of past work, and ability to manage complex opportunities.

  • Account Executive: Focus on developing pipeline, managing small to mid-sized opportunities, and building client relationships
  • Senior Account Executive: Leads complex or enterprise opportunities, brings established relationships, and operates with a high level of independence
