Outsource strives to provide a business value proposition to our customers that is superior to other competitive alternatives.We are looking for multiple candidates for OSP Field/Design Engineer to support the central and southern regions of Virginia

Field Engineers- will be asked to meet potential business customers on-site and assess their needs related to obtaining services and complete field notes for potential construction projects. You will be asked to identify equipment and duct space available for fiber placement and submit a report including pictures of the findings. Design Engineers- The Outside Plant Engineer (OSP Engineer) responsibilities include design and preparation of Engineering Work Orders for primarily Ethernet orders, but could also include design work for land developments, new buildings, single line requests, Rehab, DSL, FTTN, FTTH, FTTT, Road Relocations, augmentation projects and special circuit requests as it relates to Telephony, utilizing the following tools: AutoCAD, company proprietary applications, and the full suite of Microsoft Office applications.

This position designs and acquires civil permits for local municipalities. Maintain positive interaction with Internal and External customers; maintain open conversation with Planning and all company departments providing high quality of service to Outsource customers. Training will be provided to those that qualify.Field engineering and site survey experience is a plusPrevious OSP field and/or design engineering experience is a plusStrong communication and computer skills is a mustMust perform work with minimal supervisionReliable transportation is requiredAbility to work with minimal supervision is essentialMust be willing to travel and support OSP engineering work assignments primarily in mid and south Virginia
