• Conduct thorough intake assessments and mental health screenings to evaluate the needs of students effectively, determining the most suitable treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Provide crisis intervention services and short-term individual counseling sessions to students experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
• Facilitate therapy groups and wellness workshops that address topics such as stress management, resilience building, and coping strategies, vital for student success.
• Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and student organizations to design and implement comprehensive support systems for students experiencing mental health issues.
• Engage in proactive outreach initiatives, such as mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events, to foster an environment of understanding and support.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring all documentation reflects the highest professional practices.

This role primarily focuses on assessing and addressing the mental health needs of a youthful and diverse student body. • A current and active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of the specific mental health challenges facing college students, as well as evidenced-based practices suitable for a university setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with students and collaborative work with a diverse campus community.
• Proficiency in brief therapy models and an understanding of their application in a school counseling context.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of students.

• At least two years of experience as a mental health counselor, working directly with college students or adolescents.
• Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions, workshops, or outreach programs related to mental health education.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and related technologies that enhance remote therapeutic practices.
• Background in implementing mental health prevention programs or initiatives is highly desirable.
