Outdoor Network is seeking an experienced Corporate Trainer to join our Human Resources team and lead employee learning and development initiatives across our growing organization.


Reporting directly to the HR Director, this position is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that support employees across our marine dealerships, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, e-commerce operations, and corporate offices. You'll partner with leaders throughout the organization to develop engaging training that strengthens onboarding, leadership development, operational consistency, compliance, customer service, and employee performance.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys public speaking, building training programs from the ground up, and traveling up to 25% to support employees and leaders across multiple business units. What You'll Do

Training & Development

  • Design, develop, and facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training programs for employees across multiple business units
  • Create engaging training materials, presentations, facilitator guides, job aids, videos, and learning resources
  • Partner with the HR Director to implement company-wide learning and development initiatives
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through employee feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
  • Continuously improve training content to ensure consistency, engagement, and operational effectiveness
  • Standardize training materials and best practices across the organization

New Hire Onboarding

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs
  • Ensure employees complete required onboarding and compliance training
  • Partner with department leaders to prepare employees for success in their new roles
  • Monitor onboarding progress throughout the introductory employment period
  • Recommend improvements to the overall onboarding experience

Leadership Development

  • Support leadership development initiatives for supervisors, managers, and future leaders
  • Facilitate workshops covering communication, coaching, accountability, customer service, conflict resolution, leadership skills, and team development
  • Partner with leadership to identify development opportunities and succession planning initiatives
  • Coordinate coaching, mentoring, and professional development programs

Compliance & Operational Training

  • Deliver training on company policies, workplace harassment prevention, OSHA awareness, ethics, customer service, safety, and operational procedures
  • Partner with department leaders to develop role-specific training for Sales, Service, Parts, Manufacturing, Distribution, E-Commerce, Administrative, and Corporate teams
  • Ensure required compliance training is completed and properly documented

Training Administration

  • Maintain employee training records and company training calendars
  • Track mandatory training completion and certification renewals
  • Prepare monthly training reports, dashboards, and learning metrics
  • Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administration and reporting
  • Maintain organized documentation for training audits and compliance purposes

Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessments
  • Gather feedback from employees and managers to improve learning programs
  • Research emerging learning technologies, adult learning methodologies, and training best practices
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance employee development and organizational performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate training, employee development, facilitation, or adult learning
  • Experience developing and delivering instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training programs
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills
  • Experience creating professional training materials using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to engage employees with a variety of learning styles
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to company locations for onboarding, instructor-led training, leadership development, operational support, and other Human Resources initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multiple business locations
  • Experience in marine, manufacturing, distribution, retail, powersports, automotive, or service-based industries
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, ATD, CPTD, or other learning and development certifications are a plus
  • Experience facilitating leadership development and management training programs
