During peak season, the Installation Supervisor leads temporary crews on installations, service calls, and tear-downs. During the off-season, this position supports warehouse, refurbishment, and production efforts to help prepare for the next holiday season.

This is an ideal opportunity for a strong leader who is comfortable working outdoors, managing crews in the field, and contributing to warehouse operations in a fast-paced seasonal business.

About Holiday Outdoor Decor

Holiday Outdoor Decor has been in business for 100 years and is a leader in the commercial outdoor decor industry. We provide Christmas decorations, banners, and flags to municipalities, nonprofits, and corporations throughout the Eastern and Central United States.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Installation Leadership

Lead crews of temporary and seasonal employees on installations, service calls, and tear-downs during the peak season.

Ensure every assigned job is completed safely, thoroughly, and according to company expectations.

Supervise crews ranging from 2 to 10 team members, depending on project size and scope.

Review installation paperwork and job details before each assignment to ensure crews have the proper decorations, equipment, and materials.

Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism on every site.

Adapt to changing field conditions and solve problems quickly to keep projects on track.

Communicate clearly with the Installation Manager regarding job progress, concerns, material needs, and crew performance.

Provide constructive feedback on installation procedures and field operations to help improve efficiency and execution.

Seasonal Work Expectations

Work extended hours during the peak season, including frequent overtime.

Be available for 6-day workweeks during busy periods, with job completion determining the workday end time.

Travel to job sites as assigned, including occasional multi-day, out-of-town work.

Warehouse, Refurbishment, and Off-Season Support

Assist with warehouse operations, refurbishment, and production when not working in the field.

Inspect, test, repair, and prepare decorations for the upcoming holiday season.

Confirm customer decor packages are complete, functional, and presentation-ready for future installations.

Organize decorations, materials, and equipment in proper warehouse locations.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, item locations, and refurbishment needs.

Report missing, damaged, or heavily worn decorations and features to the Installation and Warehouse Managers.

Help identify items that require extensive refurbishment or full replacement.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in installation, construction, field service, logistics, or a related environment.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Comfort working with hand tools, equipment, and materials used in installation work.

Ability and willingness to work at heights of up to 50 feet on occasion.

Ability to climb ladders and operate lifts after training.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.

Comfort working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures throughout the year.

Willingness to work weekends, extended overtime, and occasional overnight travel during the holiday season.

Preferred Traits

Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.

Ability to motivate and manage crews in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.

Flexible and team-oriented mindset.

Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative wherever needed.

Work Environment

This role involves a combination of outdoor fieldwork and indoor warehouse responsibilities. The position is physically active and requires working in varying seasonal weather conditions, using ladders and lifts, handling decor materials and equipment, and leading teams in both routine and time-sensitive situations.
