ELS is hiring for the position of Silver Dollar P/T Outdoor Operations Technician in Odessa, Florida.
A P/T Outdoor Operations Technician maintains property grounds, ensures visitor safety, and monitors compliance with facility rules. This role is a year-round position that combines physical labor, property maintenance, and public-facing security or customer service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance and beatification of our resort grounds. Which could include but not be limited to trimming hedges, edging, weed eating, planting, and manual weeding.
  • Operating and maintaining hand tools, and power tools, or equipment like golf carts and trailers.
  • Keeping grounds free from trash, litter, debris, leaves, and other dead plant materials.
  • Responsible for cleaning restrooms and emptying trash receptacles in the common areas.
  • Inspect common areas, grounds, and amenity buildings for safety hazards. Perform minor repairs.
  • Patrol grounds. Enforce rules, parking regulations, and safety policies.
  • Greet visitors and provide directions or information about sites and amenities.
  • Resolve conflicts or complaints calmly and professionally.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent general education degree.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Work Schedule
  • Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines.
  • Availability of working on weekends and/or holidays as required.
