Summary
The Supervisor, EC SCM Team 1 position will assist in managing Inbound/Outbound traffic regarding transportation of auto parts into U.S. manufacturing plants (Related Vendors for Hyundai/Kia and Suppliers) with container moves. This role is responsible for supporting the team with shipments to minimize cost while maximizing profit for Glovis as well as to ensure that all customer inquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Support Coordination of In/Outbound Operation Services
โ€ข Accountable for maintaining profitable, cost-efficient operations and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory guidelines
โ€ข Analyze the volume of inbound shipments by: managing daily ETA and tracking reports with customers, tracking/locating customer order statuses daily, distributing delivery schedules with up to 10 inland carriers, reporting supply chain interruptions to internal and external accounts, and supporting and maintain supply chain issues
โ€ข Support insurance claims for cargo damage/accident/customer claims in related parties
โ€ข Daily Coordination of Customer Inquiries
โ€ข Monitor and support container moves
โ€ข Coordinate urgent container deliveries to ensure production lines of the customers
โ€ข Prepare required documents including commercial invoices, etc as requested by the customer
โ€ข Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
โ€ข Manage Demurrage/Detention/Chassis Charge
โ€ข According to contracted free time, monitor/alert customers for upcoming charges
โ€ข Provide tracing reports to the customers to prevent/minimize cost
โ€ข Manage team's demurrage/detention/chassis charges for all related customers, as well as disputing charges with ocean carriers
โ€ข Coordinate Internal/External Communication to Enhance Operations
โ€ข Coordinate with various departments: Finance and Accounting Teams for revenue, cost accruals, vendor/customer account set up and other inquiries
โ€ข Outbound Logistics Team and customers for completion of urgent delivery orders in a timely fashion
Compensation Range
$70,000 - $80,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
